"I went through long periods of happiness and excitement, pain and sorrow.  Searching for self expression.  The need to share my love and compassion, and sometimes frustrations of life itself burst forth in the use of strong colours, flowing shapes and large canvases."                                                                 Marita “Russian Born Marita is an artist whose works reflect a woman of depth, passion and intensity.   Marita was born, raised and educated in Moscow, Russia. She finished Moscow Art School, and then she earned her Masters Degree in Languages from Moscow University, but most important to her was her art.   After Marita left Russia, her career lay dormant for years.  And then, one day, her art miraculously resurfaced and possessed her.  A new art with a power that sometimes frightens her, but with a certainty, a sureness, a boldness she had never before dared to assert, but that she could no longer ignore.  The innovative and creative vision of Marita is amply expressed through her paintings.                                           Marita believes in creating images that portray deep sensitivity, and sensuality by using aesthetic combination of colours.  Her works have a vibrant presence about them.”                                            Jack Hutchinson                                          CBC Producer & Journalist     Marita presently works out of her home studio , where she creates her powerful and diverse works.    Her current focus is on creating original, contemporary art and expanding into more galleries around the world.
